FlexClip Review 2023

In this FlexClip Review I will cover some of the key features and functionality of FlexClip which is a cloud-based video creation app which you can try for free.

Creating video content has increased in popularity because it is an effective visual mode of communication. With video, you can communicate your message in a way that connects with your audience effectively.

The popularity of video will continue to rise, but you need to be able to create videos which is not always easy. With FlexClip you can create different types of videos using professionally-designed premade video templates.

You can also create videos from scratch or use AI to generate videos using prompts. This makes the video process faster and easier. I've been using FlexClip for a few years now and the development team has drastically enhanced this video creation app.

In this FlexClip Review blog, I will cover some of the enhancements and improvements as well as new features that have been introduced, including the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence).

In this video below, I do a brief FlexClip Review based on my own firsthand experience using this video creation app. As you will see, it is packed with a lot of features and functionality which makes video creation fairly easy even if you're new to creating videos. FLEXCLIP OVERVIEW & WALKTHROUGH

In this video below, I give you a demo of FlexClip and walk you through the user-interface. What I like most about this cloud-based video creation app is that it is easy to use and is especially great for beginners. The FlexClip user-interface is simplistic which makes it easy to create videos with not much of a learning curve.

The basic steps involved in create a video in FlexClip are fairly simple: (1) you upload your media (images or video clips); (2) add animated text and customize it; (3) and finally preview the video and export the video as an MP4. You can add music and even record your own voice-over for each scene (if you want to). FlexClip has a built-in library of royalty-free stock images and video footage, as well as background music. With FlexClip you can create square and vertical videos which are great for social media.

HOW TO CREATE VIDEOS IN FLEXCLIP

Earlier in this blog post, I mentioned that you can create different types of videos in FlexClip. The professionally-designed video templates help you create videos fast. However, if you want more flexibility in the creation process, you can create your own videos from scratch. They've added many more video templates in different categories to help you create your videos.

In this video below, I walk you through the process of creating a video from scratch, step-by-step. I focus on creating a short demo video from scratch. The basic process of creating videos from scratch in FlexClip is fairly simple: (1) you create a blank project; (2) add scenes; (3) add images and video clips to your scenes; (3) add animated text to your scenes; (4) add background music or record a voice-over for each scene; (5) preview the video; (6) and finally export the video as an MP4.

The rendering of the video projects is fairly quick. In my experience, it took less than a minute to render a 30 second video. The rendering speed will of course depend on how long your project is and what type of media you've used in your project.

FLEXCLIP PLANS COMPARISON

As mentioned earlier, FlexClip is free to use, but there are currently two premium plans: Plus and Business. The free version has limitation in terms of features and functionality. In this video below, I compare some of the key features in the free vs premium plans, though it's not the most up-to-date.

• First of all, in the free plan, you're limited to creating up to 10-minute videos in duration. Comparatively, you can create up to unlimited duration videos in the premium plans.
• Secondly, you're limited to a maximum of 12 saved projects as opposed to, unlimited projects in the premium plans.
• Thirdly, you're limited up to 720p HD resolution downloads in the free version. Where as, 1080p Full HD quality resolution downloads in the premium plans.
• Fourthly, you're limited to using one stock audio and video per project, in the free version, compared to 5 stock videos (in the Plus plan) and unlimited stock videos (in the PLUS plan).
• Finally, you will have a FlexClip watermark in your rendered videos, in the free version and no FlexClip watermarks, in the premium plans.

Additionally, in the new FlexClip version you get AI credit for the AI features in the video creation app. You can check the pricing page for more details on this.

In terms of the pricing, the Plus plan costs $120 (paid annually) and the Business plan costs $239 (paid annually). These prices are subject to change, so make sure to check the FlexClip website.

In terms of improvements, FlexClip now works on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari. You can also create folders to better organize your video projects. They have implemented many other smaller improvements based on suggestions I had provided.

Overall, I enjoy using FlexClip as a video creator to create different types if videos. I find it easy to use and the user-interface it user-friendly. That being said, given all the new features and functionality that have been added, it does have a slight learning curve. Firefox 101 Review 2022

Mozilla released Firefox 101 on May 31, 2022. This is the sixth major browser update in 2022.

This is the thirteenth update for the new Proton user-interface which was released in June 2021.

In this blog post, I cover some of the notable changes in this new browser update.

In the past couple of years, Mozilla has been releasing updates almost on a monthly basis for the Firefox web browser. However, not all of their updates include major changes and new features.

In this new Firefox 101 release, there is not much to report in terms of new features, but I will cover a few notable changes in this blog post.

First up, as usual there were several high and medium level security fixes implemented in this new browser update including fixes to bugs and security vulnerabilities to help keep Firefox users safe online.

Secondly, Firefox now supports the prefers-contrast media query which allows sites to detect if the user has requested that web content is presented with a higher (or lower) contrast.

Thirdly, Firefox now allows users to use as many microphones as they want at the same time, during video conferencing. Additionally, you can also switch your microphones at any time, if your conferencing service provider enables this flexibility to do so.

And finally, Mozilla had optimized the Download Flow in Firefox 98 in which you would no longer see a download prompt when downloading files in Firefox similar to how it is in Google Chrome.

Well, Mozilla has now rolled this back. In the Firefox Setting page, under General and Applications, you’ll find two download options: to save the files or; ask whether to open or save files (as I show you in the video below).

How to Replace Music in YouTube Video

In this blog post, I will walk you through the step-by-step process involved in How to Replace Music in a YouTube Video using the built-in Video Editor in YouTube Studio.

The built-in YouTube video editor is a basic editor, however, it can come very handy when you need to edit a video that you’ve already uploaded to your YouTube channel.

 This can be especially helpful if you’ve got a copyright claim on your video and need to change or replace the music and release your video from the copyright claim.

Bear in mind that I’m using the web version of YouTube Studio and I’m not sure if this feature is available yet in the Android or iOS YouTube Studio apps.

To access the built-in YouTube video editor, go into Edit mode for the specific video. Once you do so, you will see a link to the YouTube video editor (in the left side panel) if you're using the web version of YouTube.

 
To add music from the YouTube Audio Library, click on the audio button in the top-left panel where you see several video editing tools. This will open the YouTube Audio Library, you can then hover your mouse, over a specific song/music track and click the ADD button.

This will add the song/music track to your current audio track in the timeline. The newly added song/music track can be moved, by dragging along the timeline. You will also see a button on the newly added song/music track that looks like 3 sliders. This button allows you to adjust the mic level (volume) using the slider.

If you move it to the extreme left position, it will maintain your current audio, while also adding the newly added song/music track. If you move it to the extreme right position, it will replace the original audio.

So you can adjust the level accordingly, based on your needs. You can preview the changes before you save them. You can also revert back to the original video, if you do not like the changes you’ve made.

Firefox 100 Review 2022

Mozilla released Firefox 100 on May 3, 2022. This is the fifth major browser update in 2022.

This is the twelfth update for the new Proton user-interface which was released in June 2021. In this blog post, I cover some of the notable changes in this new browser update.

In the past couple of years, Mozilla has been releasing updates almost on a monthly basis for the Firefox web browser. However, not all of their updates include major changes and new features.

In this new Firefox 100 release, there is not much to report in terms of new features, but I will cover a couple of notable changes in this blog post.

First up, an improvement in PiP (or Picture-in-Picture mode). Firefox, now supports captions & subtitles display on YouTube, Prime Video, and Netflix videos you watch in Picture-in-Picture. Firefox will also support video captions on websites that use WebVTT (or Web Video Text Track) format like Coursera, CBC, and others.

Secondly, Firefox Spell Check in multiple languages. If you have Spelling Check enabled, Firefox spell checking now checks spelling in multiple languages. You would need to add the respective language dictionaries.

Thirdly, Firefox Color Schemes. Users can now choose preferred color schemes for websites you can do so, by going to “about:preferences” and in the GENERAL tab under the WEBSITE APPEARANCE section.

And lastly, Firefox 100 is the first 3-digit version. This may cause some websites to break due to the new 3-digit number. You can read about it via this blog post.

Firefox 99 Review 2022

Mozilla released Firefox 99 on April 5, 2022. This is the fourth major browser update in 2022.

This is the eleventh update for the new Proton user-interface which was released in June 2021.

In this blog post, I cover a couple of the notable changes in this new browser update.

In the past couple of years, Mozilla has been releasing updates almost on a monthly basis for the Firefox web browser.

 However, not all of their updates include major changes and new features. In fact, in this browser update, there were only a couple of notable changes.

First up, a new shortcut in Reader Mode which is a feature in Firefox that allows you to strip away ads and other website content, so you're only left with a clean page with the content of the article.

In Firefox 99, you will find a new shortcut "N" when you want to turn on and off the narrator mode.

Secondly, a small enhancement in the search functionality in the PDF viewer in Firefox. In the new version of Firefox, you will now be able to search words with or without diacritics (or accents).

There were a couple of other minor changes: (1) Firefox now supports credit card auto-fill and capture in Germany and France; (2) The Linux sandbox has been strengthened - processes exposed to web content no longer have access to the X Window system (X11).

First up,  Mozilla has optimized the Download Flow. First of all, you will no longer see the download prompt when downloading files in Firefox, unless you changed the settings to "Always Ask". This download behavior is similar to what you see in Google Chrome.

Secondly, once you download a file you will see some new right-click options. For example, you can "Always Open Similar Files" automatically after they are downloaded.

Next up, Firefox allows users to set a default search engine from one of several built-in search engines options.

First of all, as usual there were a few security fixes implemented. Secondly, one of the notable changes in Firefox 97 is the expiration of the Colorways theme colors feature.

This was a limited-time temporary feature that was implemented in version 94 of Firefox. Colorways can be accessed via the Add-on page and if you enabled one of the options, you will be able to keep it as long as it remains enabled.

First up, improvements in video conferencing. So when it comes to video conferencing, Mozilla has significantly improved noise-suppression, auto-gain control, as well as some enhancements to echo-cancellation. So, you should have a better user-experience overall.

Secondly, Firefox 96 focuses on reducing main-thread load which is designed to help the browser function better on older and slower systems that don't have a lot of memory resources.

Thirdly, CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) attacks. Mozilla has changed the way Firefox handles cookies. Firefox 95 Review 2021

Mozilla released Firefox 95 on December 7, 2021. This is the eleventh and final major browser update in 2021.

This is the seventh update for the new Proton user-interface which was released in June 2021. In this blog post, I cover some of the notable changes in this new browser update.

In the past couple of years, Mozilla has been releasing updates almost on a monthly basis for the Firefox web browser. However, not all of their updates include major changes and new features.

In this new Firefox 95 release, there are several notable changes to highlight and I will cover some of the key changes in this brief blog post. You will also find a video covering what's new in this new stable release.

First up, Mozilla has introduced RLBox sandboxing technology which is designed to isolate subcomponents, to make the browser more secure. This technique uses WebAssembly to isolate potentially-buggy code and isolates these five modules: Graphite, Hunspell, Ogg, Expat and Woff2.

Secondly, Site Isolation which is a security feature in Firefox that protects users against side-channel attacks such as Spectre. This was being rolled out to users starting in Firefox 94. It is now enabled for all Firefox users.

Thirdly, an improvement to the Picture-in-Picture mode. You can now move the Picture-in-Picture toggle button to the opposite side of the video by right-clicking on the button and choosing “Move Picture-in-Picture Toggle to Left Side”.

And finally in the Microsoft Store you can now download Firefox, for Windows 10 & Windows 11 operating system. There were also a couple of performance improvements implemented like improved page load performance by speculatively compiling JavaScript ahead of time. Mozilla released Firefox 94 on November 2, 2021. This is the tenth major browser update in 2021.

This is the sixth update for the new Proton user-interface which was released in June 2021. In this blog post, I cover some of the notable changes in this new browser update.

In the past couple of years, Mozilla has been releasing updates almost on a monthly basis for the Firefox web browser. However, not all of their updates include major changes and new features.

In this new Firefox 94 release, there are several notable changes to highlight which I will cover in this blog post.

First up, Colorways theme colors - when you first install Firefox or update to the latest version, you will see a dialog box to select a color palette. You'll find 6 main seasonal colors which you can further customize. There are three other color tones for each main seasonal color: Soft, Balanced, and Bold. You can also find these Colorways by going to "about:addons” in the Themes section.

Secondly, with Tabs Unloading in Firefox 94 you can manually unload tabs that are hogging system resources without closing the tabs. You can go to "about:unloads" to see all the open tabs and use the Unload button, when needed.

Thirdly, introduces Windows Background Updates - if you go to "about:preferences" (in the GENERAL tab) under “Allow Firefox to" you can set up updates to happen automatically using the background agent. I've personally disabled this automatic update feature by unchecking the appropriate box.

Fourthly, Site Isolation in Firefox will now protect users against side-channel attacks such as Spectre. This new security architecture allows Firefox to completely separate code originating from different sites and, in turn, defends against malicious sites trying to access sensitive information from other sites you are visiting. Fifthly, Firefox will no longer warn users, by default, that multiple tabs are open when the browser is closed. However, if you go to “about:preferences” (under GENERAL) in the Tabs section; you can check the appropriate box, if you want to get a warning message.

And finally, Mozilla has rolled out the Firefox Multi-Account Containers extension with integration of Mozilla's VPN service. This lets you use a different server location for each container.

How to Transfer Google Chrome Profile to New Computer

In this blog post, you will learn How to Transfer your Google Chrome Profile to a New Computer.

When you buy a new computer, you will need to do a fresh install of Google Chrome. This means that you will again need to customize your settings, add the bookmarks, save your passwords, and add necessary extensions.

However, the good news is that you really don’t need to go through this whole manual customization process all over again. You can save or backup your Google Chrome Profile and then transfer it to your new computer.

This can save you a lot of time and frustration. Google Chrome saves all your data in a profile folder separate from the main folder where the Chrome browser is installed.

In this blog post, I will show you step-by-step how to export your Google Chrome Profile to an external USB flash drive and then transfer it to your new computer. There are two main steps involved: (1) Back up your Chrome user profile; (2) transfer your user profile to the new or another computer.

So, let's discuss both of the above mentioned steps in detail. I've also created a step-by-step video tutorial, if you prefer a visual experience, as you will find below.

STEP 1: HOW TO BACKUP GOOGLE CHROME PROFILE?

The first step is to backup your Google Chrome Profile. I’m using Google Chrome on Windows 10. The Chrome User Profile is saved in a separate folder.

So, first make sure to close your Google Chrome browser and open Window File Explorer. Next, we need to locate the Chrome User Profile folder.

In order to do so, type OR copy & paste, this file path "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\" in the address bar (in File Explorer)

Next, go back one step, by clicking the UP ARROW, in the top-left corner. This will display the User Profile folder.

Select the folder and use CTRL+C to copy the folder and then go to your external drive (I used a USB Flash Drive) and use CTRL+V to paste it.

This will begin the process of backing up your Google Chrome Profile to your back up drive (in my case, my USB Flash Drive). This process could take a little while depending on how large your Google Chrome Profile is, in my case, it took a few minutes.

STEP 2: HOW TO TRANSFER GOOGLE CHROME PROFILE?

Now, that we backed up the Google Chrome Profile, we need to transfer it to the new computer where we did a fresh install of Chrome. So, first make sure that you’ve already installed Google Chrome on your new computer.

Now, let’s locate the Profile Folder on the new computer, just like I showed you earlier (in Step 1 above).

So, first make sure to close Google Chrome and open Window File Explorer. Next, we need to locate the Chrome User Profile folder on your new computer. In order to do so, type OR copy & paste, this file path "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\" in the address bar (in File Explorer).

So, once you are in the Google Chrome Profile folder, you need to replace this current contents with the one we backed up in Step 1.

So, go to your back up drive (in my case my USB Flash Drive), navigate to the backed up Google Chrome Profile folder and then select all the contents, and use CTRL+C to copy the contents.

And then go back to the Google Chrome Profile folder on your new computer and use CTRL+V to paste the contents. This will replace, the current new Chrome Profile with the contents of the backup Chrome profile.

You will see a dialog box confirming if you want to replace the contents, click on "Replace the Files" and it’ll complete the process.

And now if you open Google Chrome on your new computer it should be all set up with the backed up Chrome Profile which includes the bookmarks, passwords, extensions, etc.

IMPORTANT NOTE

One final step, I would recommend is to log into your Google account, click on your profile (in the top-right corner) and turn on Sync. Do this on both the computers which will ensure that your User Profile data is synced.

In this RecordCast Review and demo I will cover some of the key features and functionality of this online screen recorder with which you can create video screen recordings.

Being able to do video screen recordings can come very handy especially when you want to share something visual to someone else.

I've been using screen recorders for many years now and have use many different screen recording software.

Some of these app are desktop, while others are cloud-based which is what RecordCast is.

There are advantages and disadvantages of both, but I find them both very useful.

RecordCast is more of a basic screen recorder, however it is easy to use and also comes video a built-in video editor.

RECORDCAST FEATURES

RecordCast is an app built by a software company called PearlMountain who have many different software like FlexClip, Fotojet, DesignCap and others, many of which I've personally used.

RecordCast has a simplistic user-interface and is easy to use. Given that it's a cloud-based app, there is nothing to download or install. You can use it on popular browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox..

There are three recording modes: (1) Record screen & webcam; (2) record screen only; and (3) record webcam only. You can capture audio via your microphone as well as your system audio.

RecordCast also comes with a built-in video editor which allows you to do some basic video editing like trimming, splitting, adding animated text overlays and annotations, music, etc.

HOW TO CREATE A SCREEN RECORDING IN RECORDCAST?

To create a screen-recording with RecordCast follow the steps below:

1. Log into your RecordCast account;
2. Click on the "Create by Record" button;
3. Choose your Video and Audio Recording Mode;
4. Choose your audio recording options;
5. Click the "Start Recording" button;
6. Choose the screen(s) you want to share;
7. Click "Share" and starting screen recording.

Once you complete your video screen recording, click the "Stop Sharing" button and your video will be saved. You can then download the MP4 video or edit it in the built-in video editor (if you wish).

Mozilla released Firefox 93 on October 5, 2021. This is the ninth major browser update in 2021.

Mozilla has been consistently releasing monthly updates for the Firefox internet browser in 2021. That being said not all of their updates include major changes and new features.

In fact, in the last Firefox 92 browser update, there were no major changes implemented. Most of the changes were mainly related to fixes to security vulnerabilities. However, in this new Firefox 93 release, there were several notable changes which I will highlight in this blog post.

First up, Firefox now supports the new AVIF image format which offers significant file size reduction compared to JPEG, PNG & WebP file formats. It also supports features like High Dynamic Range; 8, 10 and 12-bit color depth; Lossless and lossy compression to name a few. Secondly, the Firefox PDF Viewer now supports XFA Forms which are used by many governments and banks. XFA stands for XML Forms Architecture and developed by JetForm to enhance the processing of web forms. They are more flexible compared to standard PDF Acro Forms.

Thirdly, Mozilla introduced a new automatic unload tabs feature. When you have multiple tabs open in your Firefox browser running on Windows computers and the available system memory is critically low tabs are automatically unloaded to help reduce Firefox out-of-memory crashes.

Fourthly, Firefox now blocks downloads that rely on insecure connections.This will help protect against potentially malicious or unsafe downloads. You’ll see a warning message dialog box about a potential security risk when downloading a file, using an insecure connection.

Finally, there were a couple of enhancements to privacy protection in the form of improved web compatibility for privacy protections with SmartBlock 3.0 and a new referrer tracking protection in Strict Tracking Protection and Private Browsing. You can learn more about it in this article.

Mozilla has been consistent in releasing regular updates for the Firefox internet browser almost every single month in 2021. Though not all their updates include major changes and new features.

In fact, in this Firefox 92 browser update, there were no major changes implemented. Most of the changes were mainly related to fixes to security vulnerabilities.

In the previous Firefox 91 update, Mozilla implemented the HTTPS-First Policy to facilitate secure connections in Private Browsing mode. They have further enhanced security as highlighted below.

The only notable change I'd like to highlight was the automatic upgrade to HTTPS, using HTTPS RR) as Alt-Svc headers. This allows a server to indicate that a particular resource should be loaded, from a different server while appearing to the user that it was still loaded from the same server.

A few other minor changes in this new Firefox browser update include:

1. Full-range color levels are now supported for video playback on many systems.
2. An open alert in a tab no longer causes performance issues in other tabs using the same process.
